Director/Disability and Inclusion
Amy is the agency's Director of Disability Inclusion. She has been with Compassionate Home Care since June of 2017. She oversees all of the agency's IHS clientele. Amy also runs the the 24 Hour Emergency Support Program that assists clients in crisis'. In addition to her main responsibilities, Amy also works in the field with clients and is always willing to assist them as needed. Amy’s clients adore her and look forward to her visits each week.
Amy has her Bachelors Degree in Individualized Studies with a focus on Psychology and Mental Health. She has a minor in Disability. She has spent years as a caregiver for family members and has many years of experience working in the field caring for others.
Amy enjoys working in the healthcare industry because she knows she is making a difference in people’s lives and finds it rewarding knowing that she is able to be there for her clients in their time of need and assist them through crisis'. She loves the IHS program and the ability it has to teach clients the skills they need to remain living independent and productive lives.
Amy has three children and one grandchild. Some of Amy’s hobbies include fishing, yoga, paddle boarding, art, and hanging out with her wonderful children and grandchild.
Fun Facts about Amy: She ran track in the Jr. Olympics when she was in High School and fought competitively as a kick boxer. Amy has received a lifesaving award from the city of Elk River and has also been recognized in a National Home Care magazine as a Home Care Hero.
